7 Tips to reduce your business’s single biggest expense of operating a steam boiler….Gas !

Following the simple steps below can save you thousands of dollars.

Take the time to attend your annual boiler inspection (or as a minimum, seek-out the latest boiler inspection report)
At each inspection, have photos taken by your maintenance personnel and compare the results from year to year
Do not believe the lie that “a little scale build-up is normal for most boilers”
Understand that 1mm of scale (like egg shell thickness) can increase your gas consumption by as much as 10%.
Take the time to look at your gas bill and deduct 10% (or 20-30% more if your scale is 2-3mm thick). This is what you’ll save with better treatment.
Talk to your water treatment specialist and ask questions why you’re getting scale inside your boiler
If you’re not satisfied with their response, seek another opinion from another water treatment about ways to remove or prevent scale.

Gas prices have never been higher, so these few simple steps should be your first option to reduce your operating expenses before looking for other areas in your business to improve your bottom line.

Angela Taylor Memorial Golf Day

Tandex was honoured to support the Angela Taylor Memorial golf day arranged by BankVic and The Police Association.Our illustrious Director of Operations (David Buckley) led the Service team into the day, showcasing the technique.

It was a great day, full of fun and laughter for a good cause.We are all looking forward to next year’s event already.

2016 Industrial Water Treatment Training Course

2016 has started-off with great promise as we recently conducted our Industrial Water Treatment Training Course for our Australian and International Agents.

Pictured here are our Tandex Agents from Queensland, Vietnam and Sri Lanka along with our Tandex Service Team Leader, Matthew Jackson and the Operations Manager, David Buckley.

The course was intensive including both theory and practical elements and conducted over 5 days. There was a great camaraderie among all participants which made the learning experience fun for the whole group. We now look forward to seeing our agents take their new skills and knowledge back to their own countries to further improve the level of water treatment service to their customers.”

Tandex Agent Support Trip to Thailand

Tandex recently completed an agent support trip to Thailand to offer technical, sales and marketing assistance to Boonyium & Associates, our first ever overseas agent appointed more than 35 years ago.

Boonyium have been a long standing member of the Tandex family and we value the relationship we have with them. Some of their staff have been with the company for 20+ years. We appreciate their ongoing support as we do with all our valued overseas agents.

Twinclean Showcase 2014 – Tandex Guessing Competition

Tandex are exhibiting at the TwinClean Showcase @ Australian Technology Park Sydney NSW, this weekend 29th – Sunday 31st August, 2014.

The Tandex ‘guessing competition’ is being run during the show. Please read the competition terms & conditions below if you are considering entering the competition.

Terms and Conditions – Guessing Competition

The Tandex ‘guessing competition’ is being run during the promotional period in the trading hours of 29-31st August 2014 at the TwinClean Showcase – Australian Technology Park Sydney NSW.

Tandex officers, employees and immediate families of employees are ineligible to enter.

Entrants must be over the age of 18.

The prize will be awarded to the person who guesses the exact or closest to the weight of the drum (container) and contents. Entry forms must be completed with all relevant details.

The prize consists of a $150.00 credit at a restaurant of the ‘winners’ choice.

On telephone confirmation of winning the prize; arrangements will be made to place a credit at the chosen restaurant.

The winner’s name will be posted on the Tandex Pty website for a period of one week,

after the close of the TwinClean Showcase.

By entering the Competition, an entrant releases and indemnifies Tandex Pty Ltd (including its officer, employees and agents) from and against all actions, liabilities, penalties, claims or demands the entrant may have against the Promoter or that the Promoter may incur for any loss or damage which is or may be suffered or sustained as a direct or indirect result of an entrant entering or participating in the Competition or winning or failing to win the prize, or using or permitting any other person to use the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law or which would cause any part of this clause to be void or unenforceable.

Tandex’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Competition participation is deemed acceptance of terms and conditions of entry.
